Founder & baker, Samantha Croteau crafts each dessert with the finest ingredients, sourced locally or from small businesses, to ensure the best flavor and quality in every bite. But it’s not just about what’s in the recipe—it’s about the experience we offer. As a self-taught baker, Samantha has cultivated her skills through years of learning, playing, and expressing creativity in the kitchen.
The name Jolie Fleur, (“pretty flower” in French) was inspired by her appreciation for nature and the beauty it offers. She combines the art of baking with the beauty of nature, incorporating fresh flowers and seasonal flavors into her creations.
Our desserts are more than just sweet treats—they are little moments of joy, meant to make you feel connected to the simpler pleasures in life. Samantha pours her heart into every creation, from classic chocolate chip cookies to beautiful custom cakes, always with the intention of spreading happiness.
Founder’s Note:
Jolie Fleur began with a love for baking that bloomed during childhood. As a little girl, I learned to bake chocolate chip cookies using the recipe from the back of the yellow Tollhouse package. Over time, I began experimenting and crafting my own creations, eventually “perfecting” the chocolate chip cookie that is at the heart of Jolie Fleur.
Jolie Fleur reconnects me to my inner child while I emphasize play in the kitchen to create my own little works of art; cookies, cakes, and on. As baking brings me closer to my younger self, I hope that my desserts take you back to a time when you were young, the age where you can’t contain your excitement over a slice of birthday cake. I hope you can feel that same joy while eating something I’ve baked.
